An exhibition of 25 different artists interpreting a tulip focused on the 17th century Dutch tulip trade and the hysteria surrounded by it. Referencing Greek and Roman classical sculpture, I used make-up and props to transform myself into a model of this ‘modern day hero’ and then photographed myself around London streets. She has a new theory to help prevent schizophrenia within existing patients without the use of heavy medication. The individual pills represent the characters of the asylum; regimented, faceless and imprisoned. The protagonists, McMurphy and Chief Bromden are highlighted by their altered shape.
